Whose woods these are I think I know, his house is in the village though. He will not see me stopping here, to ski through gaps filled up with snow. Remember the woods are not Out of Bounds at Homewood.

Sorry about the lame literary reference dude it's all I could think of.

Barry Bonds blah blah blah. You don't have to be a baseball fan to have fun at the ballpark. The roar of the crowd. The garlic fries. The ballpark that keeps changing names. The San Francisco Giants.

BARRY BONDS

4/12/07---

Winter was a bust and part of me is happy to see it go. I have never seen a ski season with less snow. One major storm is what we had this year. One major storm, that produced a lot of snow and no visibility as we were snowboarding right in the middle of it. The roads were a nightmare and the snow seemed to melt so fast that you were afraid it would be gone by the time you got to the bottom. It was 68 degrees in Tahoe on our last ski trip and the mountain looked more appropriate for biking than boarding. I was really looking forward to this ski season but now the boards are finally packed away, we usher in the spring with open arms. So knock the rust off the golf clubs, oil the chains on the bikes and re-string those rackets - because more than anything else, the end of winter means the beginning of spring.

Freak Storm Strands Dozens

This years winter has been eagerly anticipated. Though global warming appears to have delayed the snow during ski season. If last year is any indication, though the white powdery flakes came late, they came with reckless abandone.

Jenn and I spent last Christmas in Tahoe and the amenities were great, but the snow was non-existent. In fact, there was not a single flake on the ground until the day we left - murphy's law. Over the next few months, Tahoe was packed in with over 22 feet of snow by the end of the season. This year expects to be different. The bay area has been hit by a series of seemingly endless storms which can only mean one thing - SNOW!!! AND LOTS OF IT...

This just in -- Christmas is cancelled for all us would be skiers and snowboarders. There appears to be enough percipitation but the warm weather is causing more rain than snow. Apparantly snow that was there a week ago is all gone. The following therefore is now moot. Thanks to Nate for the quote. Also, Lombardi Sports finally got the discount lift tickets - looks like Squaw a
